Output - Print to tape - HDV - HDR-HC1 - Final Cut Pro 5

Hi,

I'm trying to send an HDV sequence I edited in Final Cut Pro 5 back
out to my HDR-HC1 (for later playback on an HDTV) using "Print
to Tape".

I have tried this a few times after consulting the manuals, but the
program doesnt seem to 'see' my HDR-HC1. (The HDV 1440x1080
options on the 'Output/Playback' device list are greyed out).

Am I missing something here?

Has anyone been able to get their HDV sequence back to the
camcorder with FCP?

Thanks guys!
Eddie

Oh! Finally Canon came up with HDD based camcorder! It looks good, it should be at least 60GB instead of 40GB, but it is ok not bad.

You missed several things in your HV20 review so pls be a bit more thorough this time:

HV20 problems missed:

a) "rolling shutter" problem that renders footage taken from moving platforms grotesquely distorted on HV20.

b) the fact that they record and output always in 1080i regardless of the shooting mode.

c) that they forgot to include necessary flags in their 24p/60i streams rendering recovery or the original 24p extremely difficult,

d) rattling battery,

e) not enough stressing how uncomfortable and cheap wrist wrap is or how cheap port covers are.

f) poorly placed microphone,

etc...
