Computer won't see camera

Hi gang,
I'm having a very strange problem with my DCR-HC65. Everything was working fine during the last year since I've bought it, but now all of a sudden, no computer will recognize it. When the camera is plugged into a computer, the "DV IN" icon shows up on the LCD, but the comp sees nothing. We've tried four different firewire cables, and four different computers (XP Pro, Vista Business, Powerbook G4, and Macbook Pro). No computer will see this camera any more, yet the camera acts like it knows it's connected. Analog output still works fine, playback works fine....I'm stumped! Any ideas?

Does HC65 have a cradle connection? Well, it doesn’t matter the underlying problem is the same. This is just my guess! Those types of problem usually mean that somehow connection is not making full contacts. You’ll finds threads relating to bent pins, jammed foreign body etc. or that port connection power are short circuited.
