I wonder the internet readyness
I wonder which bitrates it will record in, and how efficient the H264 encoder is.
If it records 90 minutes on 8GB, then it does 11mbit/s at the highest bitrate full quality setting.
I'd like to know if it can go down to as low as 4mbit/s and still keep a good variable bitrate quality encoding at 1280x720 progressive.
If this camcorder can do that, around 4-6mbit/s VBR h264 1280x720 with good image stabilization, good colors, sharp picture, good auto-focus and auto-settings, then I guess this would be an awesome HD camcorder for publishing HD video on the Internet.
I'm looking forward to more information and samples from it posted on the Internet, I will be going to the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin at the end of August, by then I will be able to test this camcorder.
If it performs better than the Aiptek 720p h264 camcorder, and better than the Sanyo HD2, then this one is a winner, since no AVCHD camcorder are doing 720p Internet-ready HD VBR recordings yet.

shooting in 720/60p
Hi,
I checked out the Samsung HMX10 at local store and didn't see menu setting for setting Frame Rate Per Seconds.
How do you select 60p ?
Any links to edited or raw footage?
THanks for comments.

well i just bought this camcorder in seoul before i went to thailand for a holiday. It was a replacement for my broken canon mvx330i dv camera. Im so happy with this thing.
I got the hmx10a, not 10c. 10a has only 4GB of internal mem, which doesnt really bother me at all, since cards is where ill record to and just use the internal incase i run out of space etc.
The touch screen is a great feature and really simple menus is perfect. There are plenty of settings to play with and the still capture quality isnt too bad.
Battery life is pretty solid, and the battery is like a digital camera battery so its not a problem to carry spares.
I shot about 100mins on 8GB at full quality. I played back direct to tv and through my laptop. Im really impressed with the quality of this thing, though idont have a HD TV to really check it out well yet. Havnt edited any footage as i need to get some more hdd space sorted first.
The bundled cyberlink software is decent and easy to use, though i havnt really done too much with it.
Low light isnt as bad as i thought it would be, shot film at night in the streets lit with fluro and store lights and it came out just as i saw it there. the auto focus and adjustment with light is pretty quick and doesnt seem sluggish in anyway.
I am definately not using this for any pro style filming, just capturing holiday stuff and recoding whatever. But im really pleased with this thing, no big battery hanging off the back, no tapes, no dvds....just sdhc cards.
if anyone has questions id be more than happy to answer them, also if anyone wants sample clips ill see what i can do to upload them at full quality (short clips only of course)

Hi - thanks for the info.
Are you able to select 720/30p or 720/60p when recording?
Does it have a Mic input?
Thanks
