Jumpy dissloves

When I run my finished final cut piece through quicktime conversion my dissloves jump or stutter. I am editing HD 1440x1080 and using conversion settings Compression: Apple Internediate Codec (I used H.264 but was instructed to use the apple codec) it didn't seem to make a difference.
Size 1280x702 (I also tried smaller sizes...still got the jump)
I tried different frame rate and key frames... still got the jump.
Lastly, I have tried different dissloves short, long... still get the jump.

Anyone ever have this problem?

What is the destination of this output? Web? CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, Intranet?
