Angry dzgx5020

I recently purchased Hitachi dzgx 5020a camcorder. I went on a trip to New York. The tour guide says when you come out of the tunnel this will be your best shot of the New York skyline. I push RECORD and data error message comes up. to repair you must use the power cord.

Has anyone experienced this? I couldn't use the camera all day and it happened again on the day after.

Are these cameras noted for this?

Any info will be appreciated.

No idea... but if it repeats after having been disconnected from wall power, I'd have to wonder if either the primary and/or the backup battery [the backup battery is typically a button cell used to keep the clock and user settings while the main battery is disconnected) are dead or not fully charged.

answer

did you remove the disk while it was still writing?

you need to be connected to the mains to repair the disk because it can take up to several hours for the camera to do this!
