Does anyone know where to get an Optura 50?

Yeah, the title pretty much describes this post. I need to find a reasonably (Below $410 is possible) well priced Optura 50 off the internet. problem is, there aren't a whole lot of sales that i can find. Optura S1s are literally everywhere, and I saw an optura 50 for Amazon for 410 the DAY before I was going to buy it, but it dissappeared... I seriously need any help i can get. Thanks in advance for any help!

You might try going through the deals on this web page but be sure and check out any dealer before sending them money and absolutely use a credit card (not Paypal) if you want to buy from one of them. There are some deals there within the price you listed but there are some known shady dealers in there too. I would highly suggest that you do your homework on these people before buying but I do think Yahoo keeps something of a leash on people that listed on their shopping bot.

Thanks for the help, but I already bought an Elura 100. Why did canon discontinue these two cameras!?!

They were expensive, and only the techno-geeks knew enough to realize that they were much better cameras than the ZR line... The ZR-line was priced as Christmas stocking stuffers (though I'd only give one to my worst enemy -- so I could watch them get apoplexy trying to match the capabilities of an Optura).

"We can sell 500 ZR <somethings> at $300, or one Optura <something> at $800... But we only have a production line for one of the models..."

Just read all the posts in the various groups where people are specifying budgets of <$400... How many have you seen saying they want to spend $1000...

In this year, the equivalent of the Optura line is the HV20.

Thanks

Thanks for all the explanation, but it still doesnt help me in finding an Optura 50 under $500 (New budget). Turns out the Elura I bought was stolen, so i got a pretty funny email from the state of Wyoming.
