HDR-SD1 problem with Vista
I've upgraded to Vista Business (free) and I have installed Picture Motion Browser software plus the update but now my pc won't see the camera. I tested the USB port with my Canon digital camera, and it recognized it ok. I've googled for a fix with no luck.

Explaining what you did to solve the problem would be better than asking for a deletion... That way someone else having the same problem might find a solution.

Apparently, it was a USB problem after all. I switched to a port on the back I/O panel and it worked. Funny, my Canon digital works fine on the front USB, but not the HDR.

This may be a silly question, but how often do you reboot the system?
If you had connected a USB1.1 (11Mbps) item to a "hub", the entire "hub" may have dropped to that speed. If the camera only operates at USB2 Fast (488Mbps, or some such), connecting to a hub running USB1.1 could cause problems... I know I've had warnings from my laptop about connecting a "slow" item -- and that the port would remain "slow" until a reboot.

More than likely, that is what happened, I rebooted, then tried the original port again, and it worked fine. Crazy computers.
