2 problems with studio 11.1

i have taken some video with my sony ux7 in sd thinking i could edit and make a movie faster that way. I have had nothing but problems, first when import the dvd title then use it in studio it adds in the scenes and for every scene the movie starts then freezes for about 2 seconds then starts playing again. so i had to edit out all the parts where the video is bad, then when i try to render to dvd it gets to about 2 minutes on the timeline then stops and says export error..... somthing/temp I have made other videos no problem but this one is giving me a very difficult time, hope someone can help. I have a quad core 2.4ghz with 3gb ram it edits the hd fine.

update

I think the problem may be with recording on the dvd rw disks, when done in sd i cant import directly into the program. I have found a way but i loose alot of quality, i had to capture the video to instant dvd recorder and then use that image to edit in studio 11.1
I hope they come up with a fix for this problem, when i use the disk from the camera and import into studio it makes long spots of no video or audio and i cant just edit out the bad spots as it wont render. i saw on there site others are having this problem.
