SmoothCam Lost after Installing Shake????!!
Hi I am running FCP 6 with the sweet "SmoothCam" plugin they added. It came from Shake. I also just got Shake 4 and installed it. Now I have lost the SmoothCam plug-in in Final Cut Pro 6.
Anyone know the fix?
Help! I have a client's project due and it won't render that plug-in any more.
Mods?
Thanks

So I just want to keep you abreast of what's happening with Final Cut Studio 2. I have just had my 3rd session with apple support. I removed and installed many elements with them but I still have major issues with the whole suite. I have reinstalled it 4 times and I still have no:
• no SmoothCam
• No Master Templates (very useful tools in FCP6)
• No Motion (the application)
• No Compressor ( the application)
• no Qmaster
This is a serious issue. I was supposed to receive a callback from Apple at 3:00pm today to discuss the next step, but I didn't. That next step is a wipe of my hard drive and do a reinstall of my OS as well as all software on my boot drive. FUN! So I don't know when this will happen, but it needs to quickly. As it is my FCP takes 2-3 minutes to start. I get a pinwheel hanging, but it eventually starts. I can still edit, but things are looking bad.
I don't plan on installing Shake again any time soon. Maybe during this overhaul before I get too deep into re installing stuff. But I'm more interested in Motion at the moment. I have purchased a whole training course on that and plan to bone up when I get a chance - but for now I can't even start motion.
That's where it stands.
Has anyone had similar problems with installing Shake?

Hi
I am running an 8 Core 3mhz MacPro with 5 gigs of ram. That's not the problem.
I actually fixed the problem. I did an "Archive & instal" to my OS and it fixed it. I didn't have to re-install all my software either. I don't know what the original conflict was, and neither did Apple support. They suggested an "Erace & install" where you start from scratch, but that's a tad extreme. It's the cleanest way though.
So I'm good. Maybe this will help someone else with the same problem that does a search on the subject.
Thanks
Chad

What does Apple say about those mixed memory sizes? Usually it is said to run all of the same size in multiples.

I have two 512mb and two 2gig sticks, and they were installed by an apple center, so I guess it's OK as long as you have a matched pair.
