Panasonic VDR D230

I have a Panasonic vdr d230, and when is was finalizing my video, the power save came on and now i can't transfer it onto a DVD. Do you think it is my program on my computer? I am using Vista on my Sony Vaio. Is there a program for Vista that is compatible with the vdr d230?

The impression I have is that miniDVD cameras strongly suggest doing finalization only when connected to wall power -- you've probably found out why <G>

An unfinalized disk doesn't have a menu structure, so normal reading code can't find stuff that is on the disk. Usually, the disk source can recognize its own unfinalized disks -- but if it died halfway through, it may appear more as a finalized disk with a corrupt menu.

You may have to do a search for utilities that can explore/rip from bad disks.

Hey Michael,
How do you like your camera? I am considering one for my father who is 80yo. He wants a point and shoot.
Thanks for any info.
Julie
