Suggest a 3CCD camera?

My old one is GS39 that has busted front light and no sound and if no one can't help me fix it or if the problem is just not fixable, I'd probably get another camcorder.

I've looked at a few Panasonic miniDV camera and narrowed down to either GS180 (cheaper) or GS300 (more feature especially image stabilizer) Used they average around $200 to $300.

I do nearly all video work outdoor in daylight so there's lots of light. Would the GS180 or GS300 (or other 3CCD? under $300 used on eBay) be better than 1CCD or should I consider sticking with 1CCD models instead?

I have many batteries and some lens so getting different brand that doesn't use these batteries is not an option. (Lens I can deal with, for similiar size or smaller len ring adapter exists but I may need to replace the lens if the replacement camcorder's len is significantly bigger.

TIA
