3 point lighting kit?

Can anybody recommend a decent 3 point lighting kit? I've looked at bhphotovideo.com and am a bit overwhelmed by all the choices. Budget is in the $300-$600 range.

You might also want to check for some used gear. An industry standard Lowel Tota with umbrella for your Key light, a bounce reflector (foam core also works) for your fill, and a small hair light such as the Lowel Pro light is all you need for your standard three point lighting set-up. So really two hot lights for your kit.
The cool thing is that as you grow, you can always get a soft box attachment for the Tota light. Since Lowel gear is found at most rental houses, you know the stuff will last awhile. Especially if you take care of it.
