Premiere to Encore issue - help please!

I edited a project in Premiere Pro 1.5, and exported it to video. Then I imported the video into Encore DVD. The video is an hour and 32 minutes long. I've never burned a project this long before. When I play back the DVD on my home computer it appears to be in slow motion...and on my work laptop it stutters in places very badly. I used all the preset settings in Encore and burned onto a Magnavox DVD+R. My computer is about a year and a half old: single core 1.8 GHZ, 1 gig of ram. It takes about 3 hours to transcode the project and another hour and a half to burn a single DVD. Is that normal? Can anybody shed some light on what's going on here?

The transcode time is in the ballpark. What was the source video type? What file type did you export it in, was it mpeg or dv-avi?
