I bought a Hitachi DZ-MV350E camcorder about 2 years ago and up to now it has worked perfectly. A couple of weeks ago it went faulty. When I now turn in the message disc access appears on the screen as normal but the camcorder will do nothing else. I cannot get into the menu, disc navigation nothing. When I try to turn it off it does not go off immediately as normal but takes a couple if minutes. Anybody out there have any ideas, and if not can you point me in the direction of where I might gret it fixed in Dublin.

Does this model record to miniDVDs?
If yes then try cleaning the laser lens with a dry cotton stick.
Also try to find the reset button and try whether resetting the device helps.
