uv filter question

Hi Guys, Just got my new sony dcr dvd408 cammy. looking now to get a uv lens protector. dont want to spend a ton on a b+h filter. looking at tiffen 10.00 & hoya (which cost a little more) anyone have any exp or recomendations on any of the 2.

My theory on accessories like this is to go for one in the middle price range. Too cheap and the product is likely to be cheap, too. Too expensive is probably too much for a consumer cam. (But definitely use the high priced models for high def cams.) If you can find a coated filter that will help cut down on reflections between the lens and the filter.

i got a hoya uv filter it it works fine. got it for around $10
