play AVCHD, h264 1080i video files easier.
hey guys, found ,and sharing a way of playing the tough 1080i. totally smoothly on your computer, it lower your requirements. mine a laptop ,a gateway 64x2 duo core running xp (change it), vista too slow. better use of that 1gb ram .
can you play the train ,test .
stock it stuttering once, playing the train clip, , I just pick up another same gateway last year model (but single core) xp w/restore.cd from office max was on the clearance rack for 399.00 no adapter,he.he,
interchangeable works well with archiving, anyway, needed a way to play the
h264 video files using single core laptops and my others laptops. been looking for a way for while .found it ,first the most efficient player is ether elecard player or media classic. both plays it a little better .
the codec would have to finish. none found were up to it, till I found this, coreavc http://www.coreavc.com/index.php?op...ntpage&Itemid=1
he world's fastest H.264 software video decoder. its doesn't depend on hardware (card/ram) to increase playback performance of H.264 video.
CoreAVC™ Standard Edition* its only 7.95 only one that really works.
all, but one of my laptops play it (a thinkpad 900mhz p3 256 ,almost, just 2stops twice) the rest all amazingly smooth.
the 1080x720p 30 f.p.s. wmv. was down converted
here the test
1920x1080i 25MB http://mihd.net/i6twek
1280x720p 5.47MB http://mihd.net/axu3cf
sanyo hd1000 sd card camcorder
o yea on the check box check preferred decoder ,on configure coreavc. and use elecard player. its trial. http://www.elecard.com/download/index.php
or window classic player vlc before quicktime (slowest )
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multim...r-Win9xME.shtml
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
been trail and error
here a test chart. not bad. http://www.behardware.com/news/8117...-purevideo.html
http://www.digit-life.com/articles2.../video_dec.html
better than nero 6 alone,(only my duocore could play)
see how AVCHD was meant to be played, its no different than hdv at 1/3 the hdd space(in 720 p) , editing is another story, as less space = compress. but most computer can do,just going to take some time. as with all h.d camcorders as you have 3x the file size. learning to shoot well=less time in editing of huge files, is a must in h.d.and a mono pod, will give better footages as h.d.and film is unforgiving to a shaking camcorders.

Not sure what you're looking for. Either there aren't any people using AVCHD here or they have a fast enough machine to play it already.
Good luck.

I didn't word this post to start feed back, is that your line of thinking? how shallow.
this is for the thousands who come to this web site, who don't ask questions to get informations.
so how did you come to that conclusion that this information is not useful and they didn't purchase it ? ,
or they have a fast enough machine,(you haven't even tried it, you should, to be fair, I try to be ) as we hear almost daily about not having a fast enough machine to play avchd.
it is the biggest problem in avchd. don't be so judgmental, and small minded.
I will post this information again and also give useful information when ever someone has interest in avchd.
(I wouldn't be so hard if you wasn't on my back for the 3th time) what up with that?

Gentlemen, there will be no name calling. No flaming. Message posts need to be useful and pertinent to the topic at hand. Tradewind, there is no reason to be "bumping" a thread. If someone does not reply to your thread then perhaps you might reconsider what your question was. I see no question in your thread. I see no purpose in this thread and I do not understand it. I am closing this thread.

Sorry, but I gotta respond.
tradewind, in my experience, when someone bumps a thread it's because they are looking for an answer but haven't received one yet. That's why I said "Not sure what you are looking for." I'm sorry if I wasn't clearer.
Second, I came to no conclusion about anything you wrote other than no one has responded. I only tried to guess as to why.
Third, I've never been on your back.
Good luck.
