What quality setting to use when downloading video via Windows movie maker

Hello guys,

I have recently started downloading over 50 MiniDvs I have recorded over the last couple of years.
I plan on keeping the master copy on the minidv but want to make DVDs to share.
My question is regarding what quality to use when doanloading the video from the camcorder using ilink to the computer. I have tried using the highest quality but that ends up being a Huge (2 gig or more) video file.
I am looking for the best quality video download without any much degradation in picture quality.
Thank you for your help.

Save it as DV AVI which will be about 13 GB per hour.

Edit.

Encode for DVD.

Author DVD.

You will need some software.

You might want to read through this thread: Sticky: How involved is it to take footage from mindv and put it on DVDs???
