Mini USB to 3.5 headphone adapter

So I'm using Sony's HDR-HC5 which annoyingly does not have a headphone out port. However, I recently found a mini USB to 3.5 headphone adapter at an online store and my camera dies have a mini USB port. I'm not sure if it will work, however, because the adapter is intended for the Motorola Razr phone. Does anyone have any experience in this or know anything about Sony's mini USB out to know if this setup will work and I'll be able to use headphones like this? Thanks!

You aren't going to get audio out of the USB terminal from a Sony HDR-HC5.

The USB terminal is to transfer still pictures isn't it?

I'm moving this thread to the HC5 forum.

Any other ideas?

I actually don't use the USB port for anything because I don't use this camera for stills, which is why I wasn't sure what it could and couldn't do. Do you know any way to use headphones with this camera? Maybe an A/V to 3.5 headphone adapter? Would that work and do they even make that kind of adapter?
