Connection Problem with Anton Bauer Elipz10K
I have the Anton Bauer external battery ( Elipz 10K) for the A1, but am wondering how to run the cord with the dummy battery connector from the camera to the battery. It seems that the battery compartment door will have to be partially open to accomodate the cord. If anybody else is using external battery packs, please tell me how you are handling this issue. thanks

problem resolved
this issue has been resolved thanks to the good folks at Calumet Photo Video in Chicago. it seems there is a snap out piece in the door that takes care of the problem. I am still new to this genre of photography so I apologize for posting such a basic question.

Think it has to do with the AB device not the camera.

Using external battery with A1
There is a small pre-cut window on the battery compartment door of the xh-a1 ....a sliding panel opens the window to allow the cable for the external battery to pass through. It's nearly hidden, so I didn't see it until my tech rep Rick Bussee at Calumet in Chicago told me where to find the opening.

The 'window' is actually there for the cord from the power adapter when you are running the camera off power. Good thing for you the power adapter works that way huh?

SURE.....I made my own connector and use the little door.. I ordered a "DUMMY" battery and placed a 2-pin battery tap on the other end which replaced the original CANON power tap that goes into the charger. I then use the power tap with my Switronix 90 and 130W batteries for projects like dance recitals which requirre long sessions. I open that little door and place the wire flat as it protrudes from the internal battery compartment.
