External battery issue

I have the Anton Bauer external battery ( Elipz 10K) for the Canon XHA1, and I am wondering how to run the cord with the dummy battery connector from the camera to the battery. It seems that the battery compartment door will have to be partially open to accomodate the cord. I could tape the battery compartment door in a mostly closed position to keep it out of the way. If anybody else is using external battery packs, please tell me how you are handling this issue. thanks

problem resolved

this issue has been resolved thanks to the good folks at Calumet Photo Video in Chicago. it seems there is a snap out piece in the door that takes care of the problem. I am still new to this genre of photography so I apologize for posting such a basic question.
