Ulead Videostudio 11 Plus

I am having some problems with Ulead Videostudio 11 Plus, and my Sony HDV-HC7 camcorder.
1) There is no split by scene function for HDV (high definition video) capture. This is poor, since it will take a long time to sort through your mega file created from uploading 1 hour of HDV video.
2) The capture interface is very poor, and very very slow. It takes about 3 minutes to find my camera and display it's information, before I can select capture video. Also, if I preview video, change capture settings or directories, etc., then the captured video is unusable with many dropped frames. I know this is an intensive process, but I have a 3 GHz Quad Core Extreme with 4 GB Ram... By contrast, this capture process is fast with no lost fames in other programs like Vegas Pro and even Roxio.
3) The quality of file created is also sub par. After capturing HDV, and then saving it in multiple different formats, including files ready for Blu-ray, there is loss of quality of the original video. I even tried burning a blu-ray, but the quality is lost.

Does anyone have similar issues?

Hi Tempid,
First of all make sure you have fully updated and patched VS11. This should bring your version up to 11.5.
Then go over to the VS forum here: http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/
There is a wealth of information to had.
