Unhappy need help

I have a problem with something. Perhaps someone can help.

I have captured a movie that I like very much on tape. (vhs) After editing the film is about 1 hr & 52 min. I used Pinnacle 10. My problem is that when I burned it back to a disc. (DVD_16X4.7GB_120 Min.) I do not get a good picture (noise) and sound distortion. The sound does not coincide with the action or the people speaking in the picture.

I am using a XPS 600 Dell With a Pentium D Processor 950 with Dual Core Technology (3.40GHz800FSB) XP Media Center

Video Card 256MB Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX

Dual Drives: 16XxDVD-ROM Drive +16xDVD W/dbl layer write capable
I have a Philips buner, sorry about that .

What I am asking is there a better burner out there. What are you guys using. Is there a burner that will do the work I want to do?

I have had this problem too. Make sure you go to settings in the capture window, and click "VCR input". This should remove MOST of the distortion. When I do it the video is usually still a little off-center but it is much better.

If you rendered it as a file on your computer you would see that it isn't the DVD or burner, just the capture method.
