Canon XM1(GL1) vs Canon HV20 in low light

I have the Canon XM1 and I want to get a clearly visible improvement in low light.

Is the Canon HV20 better than XM1(GL1 in USA) in low light?

Thank you very much.

A good statement from what I consider is an experienced person:

Poncho, thank you for your answer.

I would still like to say GL2's low-light performance is better than HV20.
It is probably true but the Canon GL2 and GL1 are quite different in low light (I think). On the other hand, the guy does not say the operation mode in both camcorders. (60i, 30p, 24p, or others in the GL2)

Cheers!

If you are only interested in low light, I do not think the HV20 would be better than your GL1.

Not only in low light, but my canon XM1 (GL1 in USA) is quite bad in low light and I want to improve in this aspect.
