Hello Carrachu, sorry I did not reply sooner but it has been awhile since I logged on this site! Please be careful when buying a replacement CCD! I too was going to repair my own camera(SCD23) but after much research found that all the NOS (New Old Stock) parts on the parts house shelves are the same old CCD's that are defective! Even though the part numbers are different for each cam, the actual CCD part used was the same for many of Samsungs cams. If it is a 680k CCD then chances are it is the same defective unit they sold millions of! In fact I believe the SCD107 has the same unit. I did extensive research on the matter and found that that actual part # for the chips in many of the cams was the same, just the PCB they were mounted on changed making them listed as different part numbers. Most likely, if you replace it, it will go bad and will be after the warranty has expired for sure! I would get a written guarantee from parts house that it is not one of the NOS CCD's or I would not buy it! Somewhere on this site I listed all the CCD part numbers for the cams but I can't find it now . It was back in 2006 when I fought with Samsung for the year and they finally agreed to fix my cam, I sent it to them, they lost it, they sent me a SCD963 as replacement, It is a piece of junk compared to SCD23 and so I have now joined the Class Action Lawsuit against Samsung! Here is the URL to join the lawsuit: http://samsungclassaction.com/index.html I would if I were you.
Also,See this post I did find on the CCD part # subject: http://www.camcorderinfo.com/bbs/sh...4521#post204521
