Hey guys, I've been a lurker for awhile and finally have decided to post. I'm looking for a camera that would be good for sports, but primarily Basketball and Rugby. This will be for a college and will not need HD as none of the computers have high def burners and the tapes don't need to be of the highest quality. On the most part the sport teams will have to give the other team a copy of the video which is another reason why it doesn't have to be HD.

Are there any wide angle adapters for this camera or do you think I could get away with out one? Thanks in advance

That camera will work fine. Best Buy and Circuit City carry generic 0.5 wide angle lenses for about $25. You *could* get away without one but if you film indoors i.e. basketball you will be able to see both sides of the court with an extra lense.
