I'm suffering like the rest of you have before I'm sure:

What to buy?

I have a Canon ZR800 which is the worst camcorder I have ever owned and it has to go - NOW!

I'm very interested in the Panasonic GS85 mostly because of budget issues. That said, I also have looked at the 3CCD cameras and wish I would find a GS300 at a reasonable price.

I'm open minded here folks - if anyone has an opinion on the GS85 I would love to hear it or if you want to tell me about another camera (any brand) say $300 +/- I certainly will listen!

I shoot the family. Inside, outside, vacation, etc. Regular guy stuff but I can't tolerate crappy quality like the ZR800 - ah, what a waste!
