Powering Elura 100 with Cigarette Lighter

I wish to power my Elura 100 with the 14.5 volt system in my aircraft. At present I have mounted the camera in the centre of my windshield but operate only on the camera battery. I would like to be able to run the camera on the aircraft battery through the cigarette lighter.

I could go the route of plugging in a DC to AC inverter and then plug my Canon regular wall plug power cord into the inverter. This adds more bulk and weight to an already crowded cockpit. If anyone has had experience in this, perhaps through an aircraft or thier car, what inverter did you find worked the best. I believe amperage requirements of the Elura are important here.

Secondly, and ideally, I would like to find a cord similar to the 110 power cord that Canon gives with the Elura 100 so that you can run from 110 AC power rather than your camera batter, but in my case someting that would attach to the cigarette lighter and convert DC to power the camera.

Anyone have such information? Thanks for your assistance.

BTW, the Elura has been great for my cockpit purposes. I've posted a few short Mustang Magic video clips to YouTube, under CGAIF

Thanks again for your help.
