i use a zr800. i've been using it for almost a year now. until a few months ago it imported its video into separated clips, separated by stops when filming, like all cameras do. but now all of the sudden when i import the tape to the computer, i get one huge monster clip about 45minutes long, which is very annoying to edit. i know its not my software because i import other tapes (recorded on other cameras ) and it works just fine. any help would be great.

Most software has a "scene detection" mode. You might have turned it off.

Check your camcorder, is the date and time set? Is the internal battery working?
