Elura 90 - Which DV interface cable?

I'm trying to find the right DV to PC ieee port cable. The manual specs say "special 4 pin" which is no help. I've purchased several "4 pin" ieee cables from Radio Shack but they don't fit the camera. Also need a big end for the PC port.

Please help.

To answer my own question: I got the correct cable from Abacus Express. FW604-6. $3.00 + shipping.

You can buy any IEEE 1394 (Firewire or i.Link) cable. These cables are commonly called a "DV Cable" in camcorder manuals. Camcorders do not normally come with these cables. Many computer stores have them. Just make sure it has the correct number of "pins" on each end. Either 6 pin to 4 pin or 4 Pin to 4 pin. Your camcorder has a 4 pin IEEE 1394 socket commonly called "DV Terminal" in camcorder manuals"; You need 4 pin connector for one end of the cable. The other end of the cable which plugs into the computer will have to be 6 pin or 4 pin depending on the socket on your computer. Normally desktop computers are 6 pin and laptops are 4 pin, but they can vary.

Do not confuse DV cables and sockets with USB.

You might want to look for a Firewire cable, IEEE 1394 (Firewire or i.Link), that has interchangeable ends. Both ends have six pins and an adaptor for each end which has four pins. This way you can use both ends either way or one end four pin and the other six. The cable itself is about six feet in length. The one I bought was made by GE and cost about $10 at Target a few years back.
