newbie in mono-tri-pods

ok, i'm new here, (just discovered this thread of tripods and stabilizers) i'm looking around because next week i'll be buying a cam and some accesoires. I've been reading some articles and now i have some questions. (probably you will l be laughing with them, but who cares, as long as i get some answers )

so, i read about tripods, that i can untherstand, but how in go***ame can you balance a monopod ? I really can't see the use of using it. (a cam is much to expensive to let it fall !)

Hi grtz rikki,

If you would tell us what type of Video you plan to do, and which Cam you will be getting, perhaps we could give you some good advice.

i ll be buying the Panasonic NV-GS330EG-S.
I'm expecting a baby (that means : my girlfriend is expecting my baby) and i want to have some memories of it. Also when i will be going on holiday i want to collect memories. And when i get the hang of it, maybe i will be filming some other stuff.

This article, while written for still cameras, pertains also to video cams. I think it will answer your questions.

Good luck.
