Does Everio have a manual shutter and aperture control?

Hello folks,
I am thinking to get Everion HD6, but I can't find any info about manual controls of this camera. So I am wondering, does it have any manual controls, like aperture and shutter speed?
Thanks for any input,
Cheers

Hello guys,
thanks for your input. Yes, I did of course read the review, but I do not see any detailed info on manual controls, except they just mention some auto/manual button and some external controls. But I have not seen (in any specs I have seen so far) any info about what is the maximum or minimum shutter speed or maximum or minimum f/stop. When I was in Future shop, I have asked the sales person about it and he said that it does not have any manual shutter and aperture controls. That's why I was not sure. So anyway, thank you again for your input,
Cheers

Apology

Hi guys,
I have to apologize. I did not notice those tabs in the review, which bring me to manual control specs information. I just did not notice, so I thouhgt there is no info provided. So I apologize for my silly question about these manual controls.
Thanks again for your patience,
Cheers,
Howard

Howard,

Your question was not silly, indeed it is good question. Yes, HD6 has manual controls but they are in Menu controls, means there are no dedicated switches out side, but you have to change your settings from Menu! It’s really irritating, and if you want real manual controls than you have to buy HD7, it has all buttons out side on the body, and immediately you can see the difference while doing settings. I have HD7 and Canon HV20, both have manual settings but JVC GZHD7 is winner in terms of manual settings, it has all controls out side, all switches are placed out sides which are really good, and in Canon HV20 they are inside!

If you want really good camera than buy JVC GZHD7, indeed it is fantastic camera no doubt!
