Wink using camcorder in Europe

Hi and so much thanks in advance.
I just registered and have a lot to learn from all of you.

I just bought a HV30 in America. I am now using it on vacation in Europe. Basically the question is - Is it safe to use a voltage converter to operate the HV30 here ?

At present I am just powering it with batteries charged with an external universal battery charger, but if the only way to view what you filmed is via use of batteries; I'll be constantly charging batteries.

The HV30 instruction book cautions against using inverters as it can result in the camcorder running hot.

Has anyone used inverters or voltage converters with their HV10, 20, or 30 ? Any problems?

Thanks so much again to the guys and gals who make forums like this possible with your generous advice.

The battery charger that comes with the HV30 (and most camcorders) is rated for Power supply 100 – 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz. Look in your manual, it should be on page 103.

You do not need an invert, you just need a plug adapter for the cord.
