Is this true ? It came from a guy on ebay.

Here it is:

The holy grail of Indie Filmmaking, this deluxe HV20 package comes with pretty much everything you need to start your own Indie Film. Why? Because although the HV20 does 24p, it does NOT flag it's frames, meaning that there's only one way to capture/edit/produce your film with the HV20 in 24p mode; by using the BLACKMAGIC INTENSITY CARD!

Unless you have it, there's really no point in owning an HV20/HV30, in
my humble opinion.

BS, or What ?

Aside from the last phrase, which is clearly marked as "IMHO", you can find all other information on the Net. Got Google?

Thanks !

Yes, I do use Google, but I thought maybe an elite member like yourself could save me a few hours of research. I really didn't expect a sarcastic reply like yours.

Thanks a Lot !

That is totally BS. You don't need a Blackmagic intensity card to remove the pulldown. Yes there are no flags but there are software such as TMPGenc 4 Xpress that can detect the cadence and remove the pulldown. Also you may choose not to remove the pulldown. It will still be different than 60i.
