Getting ready to take my GR-HD1 on a trip this weekend... today I was playing some tapes, getting organized, and trying to run the battery all the way out so I could fully charge it from a totally dead state. The problem is, when it died I was in the process of inserting a cassette. Now the cassette mechanism is closed, but not receded... So I cannot close the door that houses the tape. I've tried both my (now) fully charged batteries, as well as the DC power converter, but the camera will not power on in any mode. No red LED when I turn the power switch, no response from the camera whatsoever... it's as if its frozen. Is there some way to reset the camera or to awaken it from this state? I read through the manual and looked on the JVC site but couldn't find anything related to this...
