Shotgun mic for the Panasonic DVC 30
Hey Guys -
Am new to this forum, but it looks cool. We need some more activity!
Anyway, I have a DVC-30 and have about 300 bucks to spend on a shotgun mic. It's gonna be primarily for "man on the street" interviews at about 3-5 feet away, noisy environments, and also to record live comedy sets (with the mic pointed at the pa system from about 30-40 feet back).
I just bought a used beachteck xlr adapter, so I have two xlr's in.
I've read reviews of the AT - 835 and AT - 897 (this was most recommended), as well as an Azden and Rode.
Does anyone here have experience in these shooting capacities and can tell me the plusses and minuses of any/all of these mics?
Also, where is a good place online to get a camera bag for the DVC 30 and some light gear?
Thanks!
