New HV30 Capture prob with Sony Vegas

Hi GUys

I cNt get Vegas to capture. It keeps saying "device is in use by another application" I ve tried switching settings, turnng stuff on and off, no luck.

Any help out there

Try capturing using HDV split. If you have the same problem uninstall the drivers of the camcorder and let your computer install it automatically again.

To uninstall the camcorder driver you need to go to the device manager and right click the camcorder. It is listed under Sound video and game controllers as AV/C tape device.When you right click you will see uninstall device driver. Uninstall it. Unplug your camcorder and plug it back. Your computer will install the drivers back automatically.
