35mm Lens for Elura 100

I currently have an Elura 100 and love the camcorder for everyday use. I would like to upgrade to a hd camcorder but I dont have the money for it. I am a college student trying to do creative filming and I would like to do some 35mm shooting, but I dont know if I am able to do it. I have been looking around for some lenses but I dont know if they will fit the camcorder. I found one I like on B&H but I am not sure if I should buy it not. I want to know if I can pull off the 35mm effect with the Elura 100 and what lens I should buy to pull it off?

Here is the link to the lens

That is not going to work as is.

You are probably thinking about a Depth-of-field adapter which is descibed here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depth-of-field_adapter

and DOF Machine - A tool for guerrilla movie makers to make their video more film-like by reducing the depth of filed
Also good explanation of Depth of Field.

Thanks for the response and the links. I was looking for that DOF website to learn more about it. I am looking for a lens I can get for my Elura 100 to show depth in my movies. I love how the subject is in focus and everything else is out of focus. Is there a lens I can buy for my camcorder?

Lol...I dont mean a DOF Adapter, I just mean a lens for the camcorder where I can manually focus and create depth in my picture?

Have you read how a DOF adapter works? Why do you think people create a complex fixture of lenses, prizms and focusing screens if merely screwing a huge lens onto a cheap consumer camcorder worked?

Are you talking about a replacement lens? If so, I don't think so. Get a better camcorder, I guess....?

I've successfully used letus35 35mm adapter with my elura 90. Here is the link for a video sample. If you don't want to spend money on an adapter, an easy solution with the stock camcorder lens is to backup from the subject you are shooting and then zooming in on the subject. This way you will get a shallower DOF.
