HG10 Question(s)

Since the HG10 does not record in standard definition, will it still allow me to burn movies to regular DVD's? I don't have a blue-ray player as of yet but I do have 2 HD players.

With proper software you can convert anything into anything. AFAIK, software that comes with HG10 allows burning SD DVDs.

So if I wanted to burn in HD, I would need HD DVD's (blue ray) and the proper software?

You can burn HD content onto regular DVD disks both in HD DVD and Blu-ray formats. I don't know whether bundled software allows this.
