Can you send a file

Am thinking of upgrading to a HD camcorder. The HV30 looks to be a good one to start with and cheaper than the XH-A1 I would love to have. I am looking for someone who can send me a raw file of anything (around a gig or so) so I can edit it in iMovie06HD. I want to see how it turns out before buying one. tnks

There is a decent selection of HV20 .M2T files here: http://www.canonhv20.com/canon-hv20-footage.php or you could also look here: http://hv20.com/forumdisplay.php?f=8

Thanks poncho. Looks like the mts files are HD. I forgot to mention I wanted down converted to SD too. Didn't find any yet but will keep looking. Am assuming the downconvert is done on the camcorder before going to the computer but correct me if I am wrong. Not sure if there is any software out there the will do this after the HD video id already on the computer. I will be using my mac pro for this. Any help on this is always appreciated.

You asked for raw video from HV30 to edit in iMovie06HD.

1. You can record in HDV format and output SD (DV AVI)

2. You can record in SD (and of course output SD DV AVI)

3. You can record in HDV, transfer to computer and encode/render to SD (DV AVI)

I don't use a Mac but I assume iMovie06HD will work. Again HV20.com probably has the answer, they have a Mac forum.
