Sony CCD V6000E

Hi There,

I have a Sony CCDV6000E Hi8 Camcorder that has worked superbly for the last 10 years. Recently when I put in a Hi8 casette it slightly chews the tape and then wont rewind/fastworward/play. I have to eject the tape and remove the casette.

Has anyone ever experienced this with a V6000E or any Sony Camcorder? I am trying to gauge whether this will require a loabur intense and costly repair from Sony! I dont want to retire my V6000E as its a great camera. ALternatively, if any of you know of any non-Sony repair houses who could assist me I would be most grateful for your feedback.

Thanks in advance,
Nick.

You might find the expense to repair your unit may be expensive.

I would look for a local repair shop which may be able to help you.
