Does anyone else find this program NOT user friendly? I'm no computer wiz but I can fumble my way through most things.

I have a Panasonic SDR-H200 which I only use to record kids and basic life stuff. No fancy movie making going on here. I think fading in and out is pretty sofisticated! All I want to do is get these from the camcorder onto a DVD and I can't manage it. After several attempts I was able to edit (put in a title) and then find the files on my computer's hard drive and pull them up onto the editing screen. The imagemixer even said it was putting saving it on the DVD! But when I go to play the DVD it doesn't work.
Can anyone help me?
Is there any easier to use software that I should purchase?
