camcorder on a kayak

greetings all;

I plan to put a tripod mounted camcorder on a kayak. I was looking at a Panasonic SDR-SW20, which would be the ticket if it had a tripod mount and a remote - unfortunately it has neither.

Is there a similar priced waterproof or splashproof camera that has the tripod mount and remote?

Other options - the waterproof camera boxes are quite expensive and the camera bags don't have tripod mounts. I'm thinking about gluing a tripod mount into a dry pak case.

Thanks.

I just read recently here (I think?) about a tiny cam (Flip?) with a water proof case. Rich (Poncho) commented about how there wasn't enough water in NM too need a case like that. I can't find the thread right now but maybe someone will remember it. I don't know if the cam had a tripod mount or not.

[Update] Found it. Here's the thread I was refering to.

Aha, found a link to a site with info (http://www.theflip.com/products.shtml). It does appear to have a tripod mount and something called an "action mount".

Good luck.

Dennis
