Install HD writer 2.0E on XP sp3

Hey

I have formated my Harddisk and installed winXP and updated XP with the latest patches including sp3. The problem is, I cant install HD writer 2.0E
anymore because the HD writer is set to only install on XP sp2. Any suggestions to what I can (Yes, I know I can format the harddisk again and install XP again without sp3) but could there be another way?

Microsoft refuses to help, its Panasonics problem, they say. AI called Panasonic but they dont have a patch (yet).

I don't know if attempting to install in compatibility mode would help. That is, is there an XP SP2 compatibility mode, as there is for Windows 2000 or Windows 98? It may also be possible to patch the install package to accept XP SP3 if they are using a text file for the installation rules; Ex: setup.ini. Otherwise there's no easy solution.

Bye.
