PE4 Exporting question - smaller size?
Hello all,
I'm quite new to video editing and edited my first movie today. It turns out it's over 17 minutes long.
I did manage to export it to mpeg so that I may embed it on my blogs, etc.
However, it's over 880 MB big...
Is there some way to export it to be smaller? Does that have to do with compression?
Thanks for any advice!

I see you asked this question some time ago--not sure if you ever found the answer. So here goes....
When you convert it to an Mpeg it should give you the option to reduce the resolution. I found that out the hard way when I first tried to post a video on YouTube. After an hour+ trying to upload, I knew something wasn't right.

Thanks, Hankibear, for answering!
So, to what do I lower the resolution?

Ted,
Here is what I do to reduce the resolution to post my videos to YouTube when using Premiere Elements 3.0.
Open your project.
Click on Export.
Click on MPEG.
Click on Multimedia Compatible 320x240, MPEG 1
Click on Okay.
Works everytime for me.
Good luck.
Hank
