My VX2000 was hit by a skateboard right ont he mic. the mic came a little loose and now in playback the audio skips. I called Sony and they said to ship it in for repair would end up costing me 150-500. I called a local shop and they said it would probably be a 200 dollar fix. Finally I asked a veteran filmer and he said to just buy the whole mic with the connectors and everything and replace it myself. He said he's had to do it a couple times and that its pretty cheap and takes about 15 minutes. Does anyone have any other advice? and does any one know if it really is an easy fix?
