The audio on my HC90 sounds contains a lot of static. It almost sounds as if there was a lot of wind or if you accidentally had your finger touching the microphone (videos are shot inside with nothing near the microphone). This problem seems to happen every other time I record video (within the same recording session). I have already tried resetting the camera. Anyone have any idea what the problem is or how to fix it?
Make sure you are using tapes only once. Don't try to erase and re-use them. Try a brand new tape.
If you are doing that, and the problem is not consistent, then I would think it may be a servicing job or maybe time to clean the tape head.
As far as head cleaning goes buy a quality brand name cleaning tape and ONLY use it per the instructions.
Thanks for your suggestions. All the tapes are new, but I will try cleaning the tape head to see if that works before I shell out the money to send it out for repair. Thanks.
