has anyone got this combination and working or not?

I bought a PQI 16GB SDHC Class 6 card for my Panasonic HDC-SD9. The memory card should work with the camera but it does not. I tried formatting it from the camera but is unable to. Camera displays "Check Card" and I cannot record on the card. I tested the card on my Nikon D40X and it works fine and I can format it as well.
I tested other cards (non SDHC) on the Panasonic HDC-SD9 and it works perfectly. Is there anything I can do to get this card to work with the Panasonic camcorder? I've ordered another 16GB SDHC Adata branded card to test but still waiting for it though I do not want to waste the PQI card. Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem, then the place I bought it from suggested formatting the card (on my PC). Worked fine after that. You may want to try that.
