Eject! DCR-TRV130 Eject!
Howdy!
I have a DCR-TRV130 Hi8 camera that is having problem ejecting the tape.
I've tried looking for the service manual and may end up buying one, but before I do I wanted to check with a few of the people here.
Are there any ways of ejecting this tape without dismantling the camcorder? I know it's an oldie, but I recently picked up on a box of old tapes I want to transfer
and I don't want to send it to a repair shop as it's likely just cheaper to buy a used or even new camcorder that plays Hi8 tapes.
If dismantling it is the only option, I don't mind, but without a service manual it's a little more difficult. Does anyone know if taking this thing apart is as easy as unscrewing everything, making my own schematic and trying to put it back together?
Much appreciated!
Chris

You know, I think I am going to do this. I have patience and can manage to be fairly organized. I see no reason not to try.
I'll let you know how it turns out.
