Recording Timecord on a mini DVD

I want to find out if a DCR-DVD301 Sony Handy Cam will record timecode. I am editing a project and the mini DVD's need to be logged and then delivered to me. I wanted to make sure that timecode is being recorded so our logging times match on their DVD player to mine.
If not, I would assume I just need to use the regular counter and zero it out like an old VHS player.

Thanks so much

DVD cams do not record a continuous timecode like DV cams do. The timecode recorded for each MPEG2 clip starts at it's own virtual 0:00 so you don't get a "real time" continuous record.

The only way they will do this is if you select the cam to record the date and time on the picture itself however this may not be what you want.
