Adobe premeire elements for weddings
I am a part time wedding videographer. I have been sucessfully editing with Studio 9 plus for 3 years. I do two camera shoots and put video from camera one on the main video track and video from camera two on the overlay track. I sync the two tracks by listening to the audio from both tracks until there is no more echo or by a photographers flash. It works well.
I make the overlay track pip and watch both tracks at the same time. If I am not going to use a section of the overlay I delete that part or make it transparent. If I do want a section of the overlay track I change that part from pip to full overlay so it covers the main track. This is also quite easy to do in Pinnacle studio 9. When I am finished with the project I mute the overlay track audio. With this method I successfully edit a two camera shoot with a $130 program.
Adobe premiere elements has a lot more features. I am considering switching to Premiere elements when version 5 comes out later this year. However, I do have some reservations since I have read comments that elements can't handle large projects. A wedding can be 75min long. I don't want any bog down or crash problems.
Anyone doing weddings or large projects with Adobe premiere elements 4?
Thanks,
